On Sunday 28th May 1989 the overhead power lines were switched off for maintenance etc, therefore the first few up locals from Birmingham / Rugby and Northampton were DMUs. My train to work that Sunday morning was a 4-car DMU Set from Tyseley depot, seen here in the Up Main Platform at Watford Junction, no doubt the Up Slow Line was also out for track maintenance!
